Crema Mexican cuisine in Chelsea... TRUST ME, GET THIS DEAL!

This past weekend my husband and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary.  We were on the fence with where we'd go eat.  Paul made the choice and we headed down to Crema in Chelsea for Mexican.  As we parked the car (we found a spot not far down the block!), Paul said to me "If it doesn't look good, we can just go somewhere else".

When we got to the door and saw the inside, I decided it looked very nice and we would take a shot.  What a beautiful ambiance and the aromas coming from inside were amazing.  We were pleasantly surprised and actually enjoyed the best Mexican food we'd eaten in YEARS!

The couple at the table next to us shared that the chef Julietta was on Iron Chef.  They ranted and raved about the place and honestly... they were right.

HOW IRONIC THAT TODAY'S DEAL-ON is CREMA!

Chef Julieta Ballesteros dresses up south-of-the-border fare with French flair at this "fancified" Chelsea Nuevo Mexicano where the "sophisticated" preparation is truly the "Crema the crop"; an "unassuming", "low-key" atmosphere and "affordable" tabs round out the picture.
